Tasmanian born Amy Louise Cure is based in Ulverstone and currently a Tasmanian Institute of Sport cyclist who represented Australia in the World Junior Track cycling competition in Montiachiari Italy in August 2010, where she successfully defended her 2009 Moscow gold medal in the scratch race and also won gold in both the individual and team pursuits breaking two world records in the process.

Amy's involvement in cycling started when she and sister Sarah were taken by their father to the New Years Eve criterium in Burnie. Amy was so excited by this event that the family attended the Burnie New year’s day sports carnival the following day. Due to attending these events, Amy began her cycling career in 2005 by joining a cycling group who were trained by Craig Price in Ulverstone and then progressing to become a member of the Devonport Cycling Club and is now being trained by Matthew Gilmore from the Tasmanian Institute of Sport under the guidance of Darryn Pugh.

Amy is currently studying sports science, sociology and english communications in year 12 at Leighlands Christian School in Ulverstone Tasmania.
